5. VERANDA Students will create this versatile room box which can be used as a den, bedroom or dining room. The kit contains a beautiful antique gold framed outer box on metal legs and a separate removable inner box. You will build a stone wall with faux finish, attach a chandelier customized by J. Getzan, and add two light sconces. Then add two columns, a beautiful French door set with French door handles from Spain, floor trims, mantle with apron, metal appliques and faux finish two walls. Counter cross beams will be stained and cut for the ceiling and medallions will be antiqued and laid as inserts. The floor will be cherry/walnut and will be individually laid with a star center - majority squares with a complex border. This will be stained and clear coated. The fire screen will have French handles. The two door appliques will be faux finished. Wiring will be hooked to a contact board. Plus two bonuses for room accents will be given in this project as a surprise. |
