36.  FRENCH GLOVE BOX c1850

A typical drop-fronted Gloves/Gants box of the period.  A place to store, drape or display an array of fashionable gloves.  From a cutting list of timber you will assemble the box, framing the lid to form the light banding line. The lettering Gants will be applied or inlaid onto the top.  The front will be fitted and the lid hinged before applying a finish.  The interior can be silk lined later if required.  Completion is likely in class however a detailed booklet is provided to complete the piece at home.  All tools and supplies will be provided however please feel free to bring small tools and any optical equipment you may require.  Approximate size in 1/12th scale  1 " long x  3/8" wide 3/8 high
 

All supplies are provided by the instructor except as indicated,

however, students are welcome to bring their own tools & supplies.
