37. DELLA ROBIA WREATH CLASS
Martha McLean & Sophia Twaddle Wednesday 7pm-10pm $175
In this class, students will first learn to “frost” or “sugar” clay fruit, which they will subsequently use as they learn to assemble a wreath of fruit and magnolia leaves in the Della Robia/Williamsburg style. The finished wreath is designed to fit on a standard dollhouse front door. A choice of fine ribbons will be available to make bows to finish this wreath in class. If time permits, students may additionally opt to make a table arrangement or mantle piece from sugared fruit. A wood base will be provided for either extra arrangement; if students have a container for a table arrangement that they wish to fill, they should bring it to class. Instructors will provide the following materials: wreath form, precut magnolia leaves, clay fruit, extra fine glitter, glue, choice of ribbons, tweezers, sculpty, paint, wood base for optional arrangement.
