57. CRAFTING A MINIATURE MODERN FARMHOUSE STYLE FIREPLACE!

You will learn to create a stunning, lifelike fireplace that will become the centerpiece of your mini collection.  In this masterclass, I will teach you how to build a solid and realistic miniature fireplace structure with styrofoam. Not only will you learn how to create this beautiful piece, but you will also learn crafting tips and tricks that can be applied to other indoor or outdoor projects, such as constructing dollhouse walls, fences, and more on any scale. Styrofoam is inexpensive, has endless uses, and with the right techniques looks lifelike. We will use precut styrofoam during the class but will review different ways to work with styrofoam so that you will be prepared to work from home with professional tools and even basic crafting knives!  After we construct our fireplace we will proceed to the following steps which include creating texture and painting. I will show you how to create authentic stone/brick textures and review essential painting techniques such as washing brushing which adds depth and realism to the bricks.   Additionally, we will create a few decorative pieces like flower/candle arrangements that will complement the fireplace.  You are welcome to bring your own additional lighting and magnification.  Whether you're a beginner or an experienced crafter, my masterclass is designed to cater to all skill levels, providing a hands-on, step-by-step experience!  Hope to see you there!
